September 5, 2023: Gates Mills, OH 44040 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH) and the host Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH), saw Mayfield's soccer squad triumph over Hawken by a count of 9-0.
The Wildcats now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they host West Geauga for a non-league test on Saturday, September 9. Mayfield will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Orange (Pepper Pike, OH). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Hawken drops to 0-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Lutheran West (Rocky River, OH) to meet the Longhorns in a non-league test on Thursday, September 7. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 0-5. Lutheran West lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against North (Eastlake, OH)
