September 5, 2023: Basalt, CO 81621 The Basalt Longhorns soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Grand Junction Tigers to 1 in the Longhorns non-league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Longhorns face the Delta Panthers (Delta, CO) in a 3A/2A Western Slope contest, on Thursday, September 7. Basalt will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Grand Junction Central (Grand Junction, CO).
The Tigers now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Durango for a 4A Southwestern contest on Friday, September 8. Grand Junction will face a Demons team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mead (Longmont, CO). The Demons record now stands at 4-1.
