Maryland High School Soccer - Catoctin knocks off St. James
September 5, 2023: Thurmont, MD 21788 Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting St. James Saints (Hagerstown, MD), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars confront the Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 7. Catoctin will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Sentinels enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Bishop Walsh (Cumberland, MD).
With the loss, St. James drops to 0-3 on the season. The Saints host Shalom Christian Academy (Chambersburg, PA) to meet the Flames in a non-league test on Thursday, September 7. The Flames come into the test with a record of 5-0. Shalom Christian Academy won 3-1 in their recent league test against Calvary Christian Academy (Cresaptown, MD)
