In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Central City Bison (Central City, NE) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE), by a margin of 10-1.

With the triumph, Central City moves its record to 13-1 on the year. The Bison travel to Malcolm (Malcolm, NE) to play the Clippers in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 7. The Clippers come into the contest with a record of 5-11. Malcolm lost 10-0 in their recent non-league contest against Beatrice (Beatrice, NE)

In their next game, the Swedes play the Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE) in a C District contest, on Saturday, September 9. Gothenburg will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The come into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Cozad (Cozad, NE).
