Minnesota High School Volleyball - St. Clair can't hold off Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop
September 5, 2023: Winthrop, MN 55396 In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the St. Clair Cyclones.
The Thunderbirds (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN). The Mustangs come into the Tomahawk battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart nudged Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cyclones clash with the Alden-Conger Knights (Alden, MN) in a Valley battle, on Thursday, September 7. St. Clair will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN).
