September 5, 2023: La Mesa, CA 91941 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the visiting Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), saw Helix's volleyball squad beat Mt. Carmel by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Helix upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Highlanders host Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Bonita Vista lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against San Pasqual (Escondido, CA)
The Sundevils now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Canyon Crest Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. Mt. Carmel will play a Ravens squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA). The Ravens record now stands at 8-6.
