September 5, 2023: Taft, TX 78390 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) and the visiting Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX), saw Taft's volleyball squad beat Kenedy by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 4-0 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Goliad (Goliad, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region IV District 29 bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 23-3. Goliad won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX)
The Lions now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Karnes City for a non-league bout on Friday, September 8. Kenedy will play a Badgers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Banquete (Banquete, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 8-16.
