September 5, 2024: Fox Lake, IL 60020 Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Vernon Hills moves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Libertyville (Libertyville, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Grayslake North for a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. Grant Community will clash with a Knights team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Highland Park (Highland Park, IL). The Knights record now stands at 0-1.
