Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Watauga advances its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Monday, September 9. The Rams come into the test with a record of 2-3. T.C. Roberson lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 11. Hickory will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.
