Oklahoma High School Softball - Verdigris bounces Union
September 5, 2024: Claremore, OK 74019 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) and the visiting Union Redhawks (Tulsa, OK), observed Verdigris's softball team notch a victory over Union by a final score of 11-1.
The Cardinals (10-1) will now prepare for their bout against Quapaw (Quapaw, OK). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, Quapaw was routed by Commerce (Commerce, OK), 13-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Redhawks battle the Bishop Kelley Comets (Tulsa, OK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 5. Union will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 10-5 non-league loss to Mount St. Mary (Oklahoma City, OK).
