In Thursday's league challenge, the host Floyd Central Highlanders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Bedford North Lawrence Stars.

The Highlanders (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ursuline Academy (Cincinnati, OH). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Ursuline Academy beat Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati, OH), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Stars meet the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, IN) in a Hoosier Hills challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Bedford North Lawrence will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
