September 5, 2024: Moretown, VT 05660 The Harwood Highlanders (Moretown, VT) volleyball held off the visiting Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT), 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.
The Highlanders now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Vermont Commons for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 7. Harwood will clash with a team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Missisquoi Valley (Swanton, VT). The record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Mt. Mansfield drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT) to clash with the Green Knights in a Northern bout on Tuesday, September 10. The Green Knights come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Rice Memorial lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Middlebury (Middlebury, VT)
