The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Albany Lions (Albany, TX) and the visiting Hawley Bearcats (Hawley, TX), saw Albany's football team gain a win over Hawley by a final score of 21-7.

With the win, Albany advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Seymour (Seymour, TX) to confront the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 1-1. Seymour lost 35-21 in their recent non-league match against Hamlin (Hamlin, TX)

Coming up next, the Bearcats confront the Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Hawley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Badgers come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 29-26 non-league win over Bangs (Bangs, TX).
