September 5, 2025: Alexandria, MN 56308 The Alexandria Cardinals football squad scored 7 points and limited the visiting Monticello Magic to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sartell-St. Stephen for a Northstar - North test on Friday, September 12. Alexandria will meet a Sabres squad coming off a 22-0 league win over St. Cloud Tech/St. John's Prep (St. Cloud, MN). The Sabres record now stands at 1-1.
The Magic (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN). The Bluejackets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Cambridge-Isanti held off Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN), 42-13, in a non-league challenge.
