The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots (Kinston, NC) and the host East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC), witnessed Arendell Parrott Academy's football squad edge East Carteret by a tally of 28-27.

The Patriots (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC). The Patriots go into the NCISAA 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Faith Christian nudged Wake Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC), 56-8, in a non-league bout.

The Mariners now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Swansboro for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. East Carteret will encounter a Pirates team coming off a 34-3 non-league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 1-2.
