North Carolina High School Football - Kings Mountain sneaks past Bandys
September 5, 2025: Kings Mountain, NC 28086 The Kings Mountain Mountaineers football squad scored 34 points and limited the visiting Bandys Trojans to 29 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlotte Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Kings Mountain will meet a Cougars team coming off a 32-7 non-league loss to Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
The Trojans (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Mustangs enter the Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, East Lincoln held off Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 49-21, in a league game.
