California High School Football - Rio Linda tops Center

September 5, 2025: Rio Linda, CA 95673

The Rio Linda Knights football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Center Cougars to 15 in the Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Foothill for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. Rio Linda will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 50-6 non-league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Center drops to 2-1 on the year. The Cougars host Marysville (Marysville, CA) to battle the Indians in a Pioneer Valley League contest on Friday, September 19. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 2-1.
