September 5, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28403

Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 38-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Hoggard improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Vikings travel to Panther Creek (Cary, NC) to play the Catamounts in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Catamounts go into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Panther Creek won 24-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Knightdale (Knightdale, NC)

The Comets (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, West Johnston topped Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC), 26-0, in a non-league test.
