The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Clover Blue Eagles (Clover, SC) and the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Clover's football squad edge Palisades by a tally of 21-19.

The Blue Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against York (York, SC). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, York nudged Union County (Union, SC), 27-20, in a non-league bout.

The Pumas now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chambers for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Palisades will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 31-0 non-league win over Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
