In Friday's non-league match, the host Davison Cardinals football squad scored a close 23-21 triumph over the De La Salle Collegiate Pilots.

The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Traverse City Central tipped Western (Parma, MI), 50-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Pilots meet the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets (Orchard Lake, MI) in a Catholic - Central match, on Friday, September 12.
