Mississippi High School Football - Forest thwarted by West Harrison

West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), 34-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, West Harrison improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hurricanes host Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS) to play the Red Rebels in a 7A Region 4 battle on Monday, September 8. The Red Rebels go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Harrison Central won 31-14 in their recent non-league battle against Hancock (Kiln, MS)

The Bearcats now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Perry Central for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Forest will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 41-6 non-league loss to Greene County (Leakesville, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
