Gary West Side Cougars (Gary, IN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN), 48-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Gary West Side upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to River Forest (Hobart, IN) to meet the Ingots in a Greater South Shore - North match on Friday, September 12. The Ingots come into the match with a record of 1-2. River Forest lost 49-0 in their recent league match against Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN)

Coming up next, the Wolves meet the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Hammond Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 28-0 non-league loss to Park Tudor (Indianapolis, IN).
