September 5, 2025: Genoa, IL 60135 The Stillman Valley Cardinals football squad scored 14 points and limited the host Genoa-Kingston Cogs to 7 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Lutheran for a Big Northern challenge on Friday, September 12. Stillman Valley will play a Crusaders team coming off a 40-8 league loss to Oregon (Oregon, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
The Cogs (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Indians go into the Big Northern challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Winnebago was edged by Clinton (Clinton, WI), 22-14, in a non-league challenge.
