South Carolina High School Football - Greer crushed by Hillcrest

September 5, 2025: Simpsonville, SC 29681

The Hillcrest Rams overwhelmed the visiting Greer Yellow Jackets football squad by a margin of 55-16 in Friday's non-league test.

The Rams now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mauldin for a AAAAA Region 1 test on Friday, September 19. Hillcrest will meet a Mavericks squad coming off a 21-16 non-league win over Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Greer drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC) to meet the Rebels in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 1-1. James F. Byrnes lost 35-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Irmo (Columbia, SC)
