Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX), 56-12 in a non-league test.

The Tigers now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Prairiland for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Leonard will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Rains drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Grand Saline lost 45-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Palmer (Palmer, TX)
