The Mt. Pleasant Tigers football squad (Mt. Pleasant, TX), was nudged 28-27 in Friday's non-league match with the host Lindale Eagles (Lindale, TX)

The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Van (Van, TX). The Vandals enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Van nudged Pine Tree (Longview, TX), 38-21, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Terrell for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Mt. Pleasant will play a Tigers team coming off a 70-14 non-league win over Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
