In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Salem Tigers football squad scored a good 26-8 triumph over the Linn Wildcats.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Houston (Houston, MO). The Tigers come into the South Central match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Houston was beaten by Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO), 41-35, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Windsor for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Linn will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 18-14 non-league win over Cole Camp (Cole Camp, MO). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-0.
