California High School Football - Mount Miguel defeats Loyola

September 5, 2025: Los Angeles, CA 90006

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) and the host Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA), witnessed Mount Miguel's football squad topple Loyola by a tally of 21-0.

The Matadors (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Torrey Pines was topped by Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA), 17-13, in a non-league bout.

The Cubs now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Loyola will encounter a Yankees team coming off a 23-6 non-league win over Crenshaw (Los Angeles, CA). The Yankees record now stands at 1-1.
