Tennessee High School Football - Wayne County knocked off by McNairy Central

September 5, 2025: Selmer, TN 38375

In Friday's non-league game, the McNairy Central Bobcats (Selmer, TN) football team overcame the visiting Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN), by a tally of 33-22.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Dyersburg Trojans (Dyersburg, TN) in a 3A Region 7 game, on Friday, September 12. McNairy Central will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 21-0 non-league win over Camden Central (Camden, TN).

The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Houston County for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Wayne County will encounter a Fighting Irish team coming off a 42-6 non-league loss to Waverly Central (Waverly, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 1-2.
