In Friday's non-league game, the Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) football team triumphed over the host Rice Bulldogs (Rice, TX), by a tally of 40-2.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 12. Mildred will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 0-2 record after their 20-8 non-league loss to Riesel (Riesel, TX).
