Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 34-15 in a non-league match.

The Red Devils (1-2) will now prepare for their match against South Dearborn (Aurora, IN). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, South Dearborn was beaten by Batesville (Batesville, IN), 17-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Golden Bears confront the Tri Titans (Straughn, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Monroe Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Titans come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 80-8 league win over Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN).
