New York High School Football - Oneida crushed by Vernon-Verona-Sherrill
September 5, 2025: Oneida, NY 13421 Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad smash the host Oneida Express (Oneida, NY), 61-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Cortland (Cortland, NY) to play the Purple Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Purple Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Cortland lost 54-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Solvay (Solvay, NY)
The Express (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Little Falls (Little Falls, NY). The Mounties go into the Section 3 C - East challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Little Falls was ripped by Marcellus (Marcellus, NY), 43-21, in a non-league test.
