New York High School Football - Onondaga can't hold off Port Byron
September 5, 2025: Port Byron, NY 13140 Port Byron Panthers (Port Byron, NY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Onondaga Tigers (Nedrow, NY), 20-18 in a league match.
The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (Parish, NY). The Rebels come into the Section 3 D - 2 match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown was nudged by Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY), 54-0, in a non-league match.
Next, the Tigers meet the Herkimer Magicians (Herkimer, NY) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 12. Onondaga will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Magicians come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 22-7 non-league loss to Sandy Creek (Sandy Creek, NY).
