Springport Spartans (Springport, MI) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Reading Rangers (Reading, MI), 43-18 in a league battle.

With the win, Springport improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Decatur (Decatur, MI) to play the Raiders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Decatur won 26-20 in their recent league battle against Bronson (Bronson, MI)

The Rangers now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Maple Valley for a Big 8 test on Friday, September 12. Reading will meet a Lions squad coming off a 36-7 league loss to Union City (Union City, MI). The Lions record now stands at 0-2.
