Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the visiting Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL), 27-7 in a non-league match.

The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Redhawks enter the Southwest Valley - Blue match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Naperville Central was beaten by Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL), 28-14, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Reavis for a South Suburban - Red battle on Friday, September 12. Richards will play a Rams team coming off a 35-0 non-league win over Thornton (Harvey, IL). The Rams record now stands at 2-0.
