Illinois High School Football - Salem falls to Richland County

The Richland County Tigers felled the host Salem Wildcats football team by a score of 31-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL) in a Little Illini challenge, on Friday, September 12. Richland County will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 34-12 non-league win over Carlyle (Carlyle, IL).

The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Greenwave come into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Mattoon topped Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 42-0, in a non-league test.
