September 5, 2025: West Liberty, IA 52776 The West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) football knocked off the visiting Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA), 30-7 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Comets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA). The Sabers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Central Clinton beat Davenport West (Davenport, IA), 42-6, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Maquoketa for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Tipton will encounter a Cardinals team coming off a 26-20 non-league loss to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.
