The Riverdale Ridge Ravens softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Gretna East Griffins to 2 in the Ravens non-league win on Friday.

The Ravens now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prairie View for a 5A/4A Rocky Mountain battle on Tuesday, September 9. Riverdale Ridge will meet a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Poudre (Fort Collins, CO). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 4-8.

The Griffins (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Marian (Omaha, NE). The Crusaders go into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Marian was routed by Skutt Catholic (Omaha, NE), 18-16, in a non-league challenge.
