The Mount Desert Island Trojans topped the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Friday's league outing.

The Trojans now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hampden for a non-league outing on Monday, September 8. Mount Desert Island will play a Broncos team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Broncos record now stands at 1-0.
