California High School Volleyball - Newport Harbor can't get by Santa Margarita
September 5, 2025: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Centennial (Corona, CA). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Centennial edged Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Sailors meet the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 6. Newport Harbor will attempt to advance on its 12-2 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 6-6 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA).
