September 6, 2024: Edison, NJ 08820 J.P. Stevens Hawks (Edison, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Bound Brook Crusaders (Bound Brook, NJ), 22-21 in a non-league battle.
With the win, J.P. Stevens improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hawks travel to Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ) to play the Vikings in a Big Central - Patriot Gold battle on Friday, September 13. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Voorhees won 39-27 in their recent non-league battle against Kennedy Memorial (Iselin, NJ)
The Crusaders now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Dunellen for a Big Central - Freedom Silver battle on Friday, September 13. Bound Brook will play a Destroyers team coming off a 28-7 non-league loss to Highland Park (Highland Park, NJ). The Destroyers record now stands at 0-2.
