September 6, 2024: Memphis, TN 38119 The Brighton Cardinals football squad scored 48 points and limited the host Ridgeway Roadrunners to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Kingsbury for a 5A Region 8 test on Friday, September 13. Brighton will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 58-0 non-league loss to Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN). The Falcons record now stands at 0-3.
With the defeat, Ridgeway drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Roadrunners travel to Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN) to meet the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Saints come into the test with a record of 1-2. Briarcrest Christian lost 35-21 in their recent non-league test against Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN)
