In Friday's non-league match, the host Highland Tech Rams football squad scored a close 8-7 triumph over the Buford Yellowjackets.

The Rams (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Triangle Math & Science was nudged by Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 63-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets confront the McBee Panthers (McBee, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 13. Buford will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 28-7 non-league win over Latta (Latta, SC).
