Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX), 28-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Juarez-Lincoln advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Huskies travel to Economedes (Edinburg, TX) to play the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Jaguars go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Economedes won 49-0 in their recent non-league battle against Porter (Brownsville, TX)

The Chiefs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North for a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, September 13.
