September 6, 2024: Somerville, TN 38068

The Fayette Academy Vikings football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting McNairy Central Bobcats to 12 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trinity Christian Academy for a Division II-A West test on Friday, September 13. Fayette Academy will meet a Lions squad coming off a 35-13 non-league loss to University School of Jackson (Jackson, TN). The Lions record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, McNairy Central drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Ripley (Ripley, TN) to meet the Tigers in a 3A Region 7 test on Friday, September 13. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-3. Ripley lost 38-21 in their recent league test against Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN)
