Texas High School Football - Giddings triumphant over Smithville

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) and the host Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX), witnessed Giddings's football squad wallop Smithville by a tally of 40-7.

The Buffaloes (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Salado was trounced by Lampasas (Lampasas, TX), 49-30, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the La Grange Leopards (La Grange, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Smithville will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Leopards enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 63-21 non-league loss to Columbus (Columbus, TX).
