South Dakota High School Football - Hot Springs thwarted by Wagner
September 6, 2024: Wagner, SD 57380 Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hot Springs Bison (Hot Springs, SD), 27-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Wagner advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Red Raiders host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD) to play the Titans in a Southeastern South Dakota battle on Friday, September 13. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton lost 36-33 in their recent non-league battle against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD)
The Bison now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Lead-Deadwood for a Black Hills battle on Friday, September 13. Hot Springs will play a Golddiggers team coming off a 32-14 non-league loss to Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan (Emery, SD). The Golddiggers record now stands at 0-3.
