September 6, 2024: Deming, WA 98244 Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Port Angeles Roughriders (Port Angeles, WA), 49-22 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mt. Baker improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Hockinson (Brush Prairie, WA) to play the Hawks in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Hockinson lost 48-7 in their recent non-league battle against Fife (Fife, WA)
The Roughriders now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Forks for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. Port Angeles will play a Spartans team coming off a 35-26 non-league loss to Sequim (Sequim, WA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
