Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 37-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Myers Park advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to play the Raiders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Richmond lost 31-13 in their recent non-league battle against Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC)

The Spartans now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Parkwood for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. Sun Valley will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 35-14 non-league win over East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 1-2.
