Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Calvary Christian Academy nudges Academy of the New Church
September 6, 2024: Bryn Athyn, PA 19009 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars (Philadelphia, PA) and the host Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA), saw Calvary Christian Academy's soccer squad hold off Academy of the New Church by a count of 3-2.
The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against The Pilgrim Academy (Egg Harbor City, NJ). The Pioneers enter the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, The Pilgrim Academy tipped The Christian Academy (Brookhaven, PA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Lions battle the Friends' Central (Wynnewood, PA) in a Friends Schools battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Academy of the New Church will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA).
